The Informed Homeowner February 2010
COME TO MY BOOK SIGNING FEBRUARY 20TH AT BOOKSMART IN MORGAN HILL, CA.!
Even if you do not like our current President, you must agree that he is not "business as usual" in D.C. His state of the union address both congradulated, and condemned congress and the senate for what they are doing. If there is one truth in his speach, we need to do "business" not as usual.
The programs he has had implimented have slowed recession, and even stopped it in some areas. The need for the TARP money to trickle down to the "working" sector is critical. Yes, many people have benifited from the modification of their home loans, but they need work to continue making those payments.
Have we really rebounded? I think yes, but we are on slippery ground. Until the state gets back on it's feet we still, as a general job market, will be slow in recovery. In construction and development especially, where many contractors, truckers, workers, sales people, and material suppliers depend upon that work there is a great need. And the governmments benifits in the end with taxes, permits and fees.
On top of all this, interest rates are still at their lowest, combined with the price of homes at the lowest we have seen in a decade, the extension of the first time buyers incentive tax credit, and now even a reduced incentive for homeowners. If you have waited for the right time to buy, you are in the best time.
